Smart Cookies Program Robot Butler to Separate Oreos

HERB the Robot The next successful Oreo separating machine is a little English robot named HERB, or Home Exploring Robot Butler. Roboticists at Carnegie Mellon University have equipped him with two arms and three fingered hands, but his previous tasks involved only opening kitchen cabinets and grabbing coffee mugs. HERB is now being programmed to separate Oreo cookies from the creme. Aside from his HAL-esque voice, he seems to do a pretty job of preparing cookies for human consumption! Welcome to 2013: the future where robots are playing with cookies.
