Lunar Rover “Grand Prix” from 1972
Astronauts John Young and Charlie Duke from the Apollo 16 mission used the lunar rover to study locations far from the lunar module base camp. In this video, you can see them as they race along at a lightning quick 6 mph. Most importantly however, they are driving a small buggy on the surface of the moon more than 238,000 miles away.
