What Kepler Has Found So Far

Within only a few years of its launch, Kepler has found 2,740 exoplanets. 351 of these exoplanets are similar to Earth in size, but little is known about their habitability. Are we on the verge of finding Earth 2.0? Once we build a tool to measure characteristics like mass and atmosphere makeup, we may have an answer. Still- finding over two thousand exoplanets only a few years into Kepler’s deployment has serious implications for how we see our universe.
