Driverless Car Inspired by Saving Lives (TED)
Here’s an oldie but a goodie! In this TED Talk, educator and computer scientist Sebastian Thrun describes how he was inspired to build the world’s most life-like autonomous car. Thrun said the number one cause of deaths in young people is human error in automobiles, and his goal is to save lives by using perfect machines to improve imperfect humans. Today, this car is responsible for Google Maps as well as the longest automatic journey ever made by a robot.
This is the future of driving.
